Shortly after 9 in the morning, the cogwheel snowblower locomotive He 2/3 # 8 of the Rigi Bahnen is running down below Rigi Kulm. This vehicle, built in 1930 by SLM and MFO for the Arth-Rig-Bahn (ARB) cleared the line from Arth Goldau in the morning before the first train. The day before (on Christmas day), there fell about 30 centimeter (12 inches) snow on the mountain.
