An increasingly rare slug set departs on train O71729 from the small Fort Lauderdale yard to begin a days work. The consist consisted of CSX 6970, a former Conrail GP40-2, CR 3290, that was originally numbered 4440 after joining the CSX locomotive fleet after the Conrail break-up. The slug is former B&O GP40 4027.
At the time of this post, the Fort Lauderdale yard has been closed and locals O717 and O718 that were based out of this yard are now based out of Hialeah, FL making this shot impossible to recreate unless operations become Fort Lauderdale based or one of the locals goes to retrieve some tanks from an industry just down these old and overgrown tracks.
