Remarks & Notes
The ETR 470 of Cisalpino AG, a joint venture of SBB and Trenitalia, was a high speed tilting electric multiple train that ran between Germany (Stuttgart) via Switzerland to Italy at its best. The company was never really satisfied with the trains, there were always disruptions. All trains were built in Italy by Fiat Ferrovia, now Alstom. Here in the picture you can see train Cis 3 with train number CIS 41. In the siding is the Eurocity 863 Monteverdi, which was operated between Basel and Venice. In Switzerland today only one Cis 3 control car has survived. All other Swiss ETR 470 cars have been scrapped. Scan of a square middle size slide.
