With the change of timetable on december 13th, the Südostbahn (SOB) will start with the new service over the Gotthard mountain line in cooperation with the SBB. The new TRAVERSO trains RABe 526.1/2 will run as "Treno Gottardo" from Basel via Lucerne and fron Zürich via Arth Goldau-Erstfeld-Göschenen-Airolo-Biasca to Bellinzona, and from april 2021 til Locarno and vice versa. Between Arth Goldau and Bellinzona/Locarno, there will be an hourly service. One of this new 8-car train is on a test run over the Pianotondo bridge in the staircase of the Biaschina on the Gotthard south ramp.
