Remarks & Notes
A northbound New York City Q Second Avenue/Broadway Express/Brighton Local, or (for convenience) Q Line, subway train departs the Church Avenue Station in New York City (or Brooklyn, or Flatbush, or Prospect Park South … take your pick, as this area has a lot of names). The Q Line currently operates from Brooklyn’s Coney Island to 96th Street in Manhattan. This line began operation in 1920 as the Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corporation’s 1 Service, and while it has varied its route some over the 100-years, much of the southern end generally follows the original right-of-way. This train consists of Alstom Kawasaki R-160 cars. (Brooklyn, New York – November 28, 2020)
