| 483 008 is seen approaching Lake with the 11:47 service from Ryde Pier Head to Shanklin on 3rd November 2020.

On this date the former London Transport 38' stock had exactly 2 months left in service on the Island Line, having moved to the Isle of Wight after refurbishment in 1989.
Following the theme of electric Island Line trains they will be replaced by the Viva Rail class 484, itself derived from former 1978 District 'D stock'.
Having spent many an hour over the years with these characterful units this may have been my final visit to see them. |
