| The Nevada Northern's yard in East Ely is essentially a stub off the main line as a result of a realignment done in the early years intended to bypass downtown Ely. As a consequence, trains leaving the yard to head west to the mines have to back out to the main line switch. Here we see NCCCo #93 backing its train of empty ore cars past the distinctive coal tipple and water tower as it prepares to head out to Ruth. |
