Remarks & Notes
One mile west of Delson, where the train came off the Napierville Junction Railway (a D&H subsidiary) and onto the CPR's Adirondack Sub., "The Laurentian" (D&H Train No. 35) from Albany is accelerating over the St. Pierre Street crossing. The maximum allowable track speed for passenger trains on this subdivision was 89 MPH! D&H passenger trains were given train numbers and schedules on the CPR to avoid having to run them as extras.

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
