| NS 135 begins the climb up the 2.2% grade of the famous Southern Loops on Norfolk Southern's Asheville District main line.
Operational changes in association with TOP21 earlier this year took through traffic off the former Southern "S-Line" with 135 and counterpart 136 changed to a Knoxville-Asheville pair, and only locals left to serve industries between Asheville and Salisbury. |
