Pennsy-like. On the afternoon of Wednesday, October 21, 2020, Amtrak 49 (Lake Shore Limited) brings DOTX 221 (Office Of Safety) car along with the standard consist and P32AC-DM class unit 700 leading on what was once distinctly New York Central Railroad territory in the Bronx, New York. The car is part of Federal Railroad Administration’s (FRA) Automated Track Inspection Program (ATIP). Built for Canadian National by Pullman in 1954, its appearance belies the fact that it never worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad.
