Remarks & Notes
Built in 1940 the former London Underground trains running on the Isle of Wight's 'Island Line' are the oldest running in regular service in the UK and are due to be retired at the end of 2020. Here, 483 008 arrives at Ryde Esplanade on the 16.49 Ryde Pier Head – Shanklin service crossing the pier from Ryde Pier Head. Note the Griffon 12000TD hovercraft heading towards Portsmouth.
