| October 17, 2020. For the first time in 65 years, the Nevada Northern Railway has three locomotives under steam. Locomotive # 81 is the latest addition to the roster. Although the running gear and other appliances are not yet attached, the boiler is under pressure and is popping off her safety valve. 81 will replace locomotive # 40's duties while 40 is down for repairs over the next couple of years.
