Remarks & Notes
An encounter in the farmland of Virginia. The Engineman of a Norfolk & Western M-Class "Mollie" gives a friendly wave, as his engine hauls a short mixed consist west through Virginia farm land on a sunny fall afternoon. Of course, N&W #475 no longer lives in Virginia, so we have to be content to dream. She is pictured here just east of the only bridge on the Strasburg Rail Road, passing a mint Oliver Tractor, which has been in the family of the young lady at the wheel, for several generations.
