Twenty minutes after the westbound H-BARWAT passed through Fullerton, its eastbound counterpart, H-WATBAR9-30A, approaches the passenger station as it leaves the setting sun behind. Even on a hot day – it was still 100º when this train arrived at 18:15 – BNSF ES44DC 7262, SD70ACe 9277, ES44C4 6984 and ES44C4 8256 generate some serious heatwaves above them.
