Very last passenger train of the 2020 season, steamtrain 154 from Oberwald over the Furka pass to Realp, on the 11.0 % grade between Gletsch and Muttbach-Belvédère. The heavy 0-8-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704, built by SLM Winterthur in 1923 for the Chemins de fer de l'Indochine (Indochina railway in the french colonies) is pulling the train. In 1990, this locomotive was brought back from Vietnam to Switzerland more or less as scrap and she is operational like new since 2018. Two days before, a cold spell brought snow to the Furka, the pass road (seen in the background) is closed, only the railway is running.
