Powered by a pair of Union Pacific SD70Ms, an eastbound UP freight rolls through Palisade Canyon, Nevada, on Track 2. Both Southern Pacific and Western Pacific built their main lines through here alongside the Humbolt River. Now UP owns them both and uses each directionally, giving it a double-track route through this rugged landscape.
