Sunshine On A Cloudy Day. Reunited with its tender, former New York Central Railroad #6721(B-11k 0-6-0, Alco Schenectady, 1913) is one of eight surviving NYC steam engines. On the afternoon of Sunday, September 13, 2020 the assembly is seen in its normal spot, just to the west of the Amtrak Station in Utica, New York. The Utica & Mohawk Valley Chapter, NRHS Chapter was been working to cosmetically restore the engine since a runaway covered hopper was released by vandalism on the New York, Susquehanna, and Western Railway and crashed into the locomotive and the station on July 21, 2015. The tender was shipped out to a shop in Dunkirk, New York, while the engine repairs have been performed on site.
