Cass Heisler #6 simmers away a rainy night outside the small shed in Durbin, WV. In the morning the ashes will be shaken out and the fire stoked to bring steam up to pull the days passenger runs up and down this remote and unique stretch of the Durbin and Greenbriar Valley Scenic railroad. Thanks to Fireman Noah Barkley for adding the headlight while making his rounds and checking on the fire during this moody, yet soaking wet evening.
A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom-seen beauty of the railroad world from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding gems of sunset-to-sunrise surprises!)
