Remarks & Notes
Crossing the Columbia River just after sundown, a BNSF Railway local crosses the 1908-built, 2,807-foot-long (856 m) swing span bridge BNSF Railway Bridge 9.6 and, as it does, crosses from Oregon into Washington, where the five autoracks will be dropped off in the Vancouver Yard. The train, yard job Y-ESJ2291-26, is led by Burlington Northern's very first GP38-2, 2078, along with SD40-2 1948 (ex-BNSF 7153, nee-BN 7153). This trackage carries traffic from BNSF, Union Pacific and Amtrak. (Vancouver, Washington August 26, 2015)
