| Something old, something new.
A pair of ES44DCs roll past the somewhat recently decommissioned Santa Fe cantilever signal at Glendora as they head east to deliver the final batch of new continuous welded rails for the LA Metro Gold Line Foothill Extension. The extension will utilize the same ROW currently occupied by the old ATSF Second District (now Pasadena Sub), meaning that artifacts such as this cantilever and the isolated code pole will likely be torn down to make room for the new construction. |
