| The 2020 season for the Durango and Silverton has been a difficult one -- in addition to the Covid-19 pandemic preventing trains from departing Durango, a bridge washed out south of Silverton, and regulatory issues have prevented them from rebuilding it. This has limited the D&S' trips out of Durango to typically only once a week for minor maintenance. On an early morning, the D&S' newly rebuilt K-37 number 493 heads north through Hermosa with five cars to drop at Rockwood for a diesel train. |
