Delaware Lackawanna PO-74 is seen arriving at Cresco to switch out cars at a lumber facility. The train pulled 50 or so grain loads to Pocono Summit before bringing the spine cars to this customer. The train will then return to the summit to pick up empty hoppers for the return to Scranton. The 1880s Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Depot in the background is now preserved as a museum.
Don Colangelo, retired CMO (and sometimes piano player) at the DL Scranton shops cared for the many ALCOs, MLWs and a few EMDs that passed in and out of South Scranton and Von Storch shop doors.
Here is a look and many of those units.
