Remarks & Notes
Someone at BNSF should be pretty proud they spent some money to get this fancy control point done. Guessing that taxpayers or the utility company (taxpayers again) payed for this setup, sure it wasn't the BNSF who uses the crossovers the most!!!! This is the lead to the ISU Generating Station at Chillicothe. 2 derails, spring switch, 2 ways into the plant, and a crossover...everything a place could want (not need) for maybe 1 train a week. Amtrak #5 crossovers to main #2 to get around a few westbounds waiting at Halpin.

The California Zephyr cuts across the state at night on its way west, but runs in daylight while heading east. The Southwest Chief runs through the Southeast corner of Iowa, stopping only in Fort Madison.
