"Eskilstuna" shows the destination display on this doubleck intercity type "ER 1" 701 # 025 from StadlerRail for the swedish AB Transitio, on a test run on the Thurtal mainline between Oberaach and Erlen. This trains were ordered for service of Mälab (Mälardalstrafik AB) under the brand "Mälartåg". Transitio ordered 33 of this 200 km/h trains from Stadler Rail in 2016 for the lines Örebro – Eskilstuna – Stockholm – Uppsala (Svealandsbanan), Hallsberg – Katrineholm – Stockholm (Sörmlandspilen), Norrköping – Nyköping – Stockholm (Nyköpingsbanan), and Sala – Västeras – Eskilstuna – Katrineholm – Linköping (Uven). In the meantime, there were ordered 20 more trains. 8 of them will run for Upplands Lokaltrafik (UL). Several of this trains are in service already, more then half of them are delivered. Despite Sweden's larger loading gauge (wider and higher) and the lack of train protection for Switzerland, test runs can be made in Switzerland.
