Remarks & Notes 
GN SW8 no. 98 shows only one hint of BN ownership, the patched out GN initials to the left of the headlight. Interestingly, BN shop crews did not bother to letter BN initials in its place. Another unusual quirk in the paint job was the drop down V in the front grill. This may have been a West Coast thing as NW2s around Minneapolis had the curve swoop up like the original scheme. This was likely repainted in Spokane. GN 98 was assigned to King St. for Amtrak switching at the time.
