| DRIR #553 shoves two cars up towards Iron & Metals along a heavily industrialized portion of Franklin Street north of the former Denver Union Stockyards.
Built in July of 1938, DRIR #553 was originally CRIP #525, an EMC SW with a 600 hp Winton 201A under the hood. In 1957, EMD rebuilt #525 with a 567 and SW900 carbody; it was reclassified as SW900m and renumbered #553. |
