Two-way road/rail grinding vehicle VM 8000 H45 STS of the company Zehnder/Zürich, Autech AG, Rupperswil, grinding the Filisur entry switch. The vehicle can be put on or off the track within 1 minute on a transition of 8 m length. During grinding it is operated by a remote control. The grinding unit consists of 8-12 grinding shafts for corrugated grinding and reprofiling of grooved and vignol rails. Switches can also be ground with a special grinding module. The vehicle was built by Meili/Autech in 2019. The maximum velocity on rails is 20 km/h, on the road 45 km/h, so it is moved over longer distances by a semitrailer.
