A pair of MRL’s “meatball” schemed SD70ACES leading the M-LAUMIS West out of Livingston, MT. They made a brief stop here to get a set of helpers & then off they went. In the background, you can see the MRL Livingston Shops on the left & then the old depot on the right.
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
