| Word that AMTK 510 was still on the point of the Coast Starlight prompted a friend and I to make the drive from Los Angeles up to San Louis Obispo's Cuesta Pass to shoot the SP Searchlights at Chorro. Amtrak's Dash 8s used to be a common locomotive on the Coast Starlight, but have since all but vanished, being assigned to yard duties in LAUPT's 8th Street Yard. |
