Remarks & Notes
The "Seetalkrokodil" (crocodile of the Lake Valley Railway) De 6/6 # 15301 is crossing the Haldenstrasse in Lucerne, pulled by a road/rail "Unimog" shunter, to reach the swiss museum of transport (Verkehrshaus Luzern) for a 3 day event "Rail Days 2020". The locomotive was built in 1925 by SLM and BBC for the Seetal line Lucerne-Lenzburg-Wildegg of the SBB, together with sisters # 15302 and 15303. The 800 kW locomotive had a maximum velocity of 50 km/h only (today 40 km/h), which was sufficent for this branch line. In 1983 it was sold to the Oensingen-Balsthal-Bahn for freight traffic, but suffered an electric damage in 1990. In 1995 the association "Verein Interkantonales Kulturprojekt" started with a rebuilding program, which was finished in 2008. Afterwards it was maintained and operated by the association "Seetalkrokodil 15301" and was based in the Bahnpark Brugg (AG). Since 2016 operated by the association "Verein Historische Seethalbahn" and based in Hochdorf. Owner is Oensingen-Balsthal-Bahn until now.
