133-Year-Old SP Station Meets Ex-SP Power. Union Pacific GP60 No. 1051, built in 1991 as Southern Pacific No. 9752, passes the 1887-built, Southern Pacific depot at Santa Paula as it leads today's special run of the LOF63-17 through town. Today's LOF63 is unique because unlike it's normal duty of dropping or picking up hopper cars at the sole industry it serves on this branch currently, Spears Manufacturing, today's train is made up of 10 modern tank cars that will be interchanged with the Fillmore & Western Railway on the east side of town. Once picked up by the Fillmore & Western, the cars will be taken east of the town of Fillmore to be securely stored for the time being.
