Walking on water. The 3.1 mile pedestrian and bike path on the new Tappan Zee Bridge (some call it the Gov. Mario Cuomo Bridge) was open for its first full day on Tuesday, June 16, 2020. Seen from the “Tides Of Tarrytown” viewing area (one of six on the bridge) Amtrak 244 (709, P32AC-DM, Phase III) heads towards New York’s Penn Station along the water level route.
