| "LiDAR Test Train at Westfield Plate Co."
Amtrak's LiDAR Test Train heads north past the old Westfield Plate Casket Company building on the MRS Line in Enfield, CT. On the rear of the train is Amtrak #10001, "Bear Delaware", which has been recently rebuilt and outfitted with a state-of-the-art RIEGL VMX-1HA LiDAR scanning system. This system will be used for Transportation Infrastructure and Rail mapping. Detailed information on this specific system and LiDAR in general can be found in the links below.
