After waiting for almost two hours which consist of meeting 3 northbound, the SC-Dispatcher finally give the loaded Alabama Power CSX N854-28 (Evansville,IN/EVWR-Wilsonville,AL) the signal to proceed out of the 12,045 ft long passing siding at the state line town of Admore, AL (MP BA-276.8 Davis Ave) on the busy S&NA North Sub. The loaded coal bucket is heading to the 1,880 Megawatts conversion E.C. Gaston Power station just 33 miles south from Birmingham, AL along the Coosa River for dumping. Some 24 to 48 hours from now the same train this time empty will make an appearance once again heading back north for the Illinois Basin
Coal and steel don't go bad. This album features long, slow, heavy freight trains; drag freights, slop freights, dead freights, etc. Trains with lots of power, and lots of different cargo slogging along behind.
