Remarks & Notes
"Vulcan Materials U23B at Annapolis Junction" Vulcan Materials GE U23B #2779 basks in the sun at the company's Annapolis Junction facility in Maryland. 2779 was built for the Lehigh Valley Railroad in 1974 as LV 503. It was acquired and renumbered by Conrail when the company went bankrupt in 1976. The engine still wears it's Conrail scheme, minus the markings.
