Remarks & Notes
"Nines at Nassau" Long Island Rail Road & Kawasaki Heavy Industry's M9 Test Train heads west past Nassau Tower in Mineola, NY on the Main Line. After many years of service Nassau Tower is set to be demolished to make way for the rapidly progressing Third Track Project. *On July 11th, 2020 at 10:01hrs, Nassau Tower was closed and control shifted to LIRR's Jamaica Center Control. This is the second tower outside of the Jamaica area to be shifted. Unfortunately Nassau Tower sits on the right of way of the new Main Line Third Track. Therefore it will be demolished.
