The Mulhouse Vallée de la Thur tram-train is a line operated jointly by Soléa and SNCF, connecting Mulhouse to Thann. Commissioning took place on December 12, 2010, at the same time as the opening of line 3 of the Mulhouse tramway, from which it runs from Mulhouse Central Station to Lutterbach station. Then, it uses the tracks of the line from Lutterbach to Kruth to Thann-Saint-Jacques station. The urban section belongs to Mulhouse Alsace Agglomeration, the rest of the line is part of the national rail network, property of SNCF Réseau. It is the second interconnected tram-train on French territory after the German Saarbahn circulating to Sarreguemines in France, and the first entirely French tram-train interconnected.
