The one we’ve been waiting for. NJ TRANSIT Train 9625 made a golden hour crossing of the Hackensack River at HX Draw with the New York City skyline in the background on the evening of Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Leading was ALP45-DP (Erie Lackawanna Tribute), in a trip that has been anticipated since the unit was unveiled in October for NJ Transit’s 40th Anniversary. In recent months it has been assigned to other divisions or test trains or shopped, but its day of operating over the former EL had finally arrived.
