Amtrak 642 (ACS-64, Salutes Our Veterans) leads train 840 on Sunday, April 26, 2020. A brief stop at the Stamford, CT station faciliated closer views of the train. As part of a purchase by the State of California, Amtrak is testing the Siemens Venture coach. This will ultimately be part of a semi-permenantly coupled transit. The train covered a portion of the Northeast Corridor Line to test at 125 MPH. This car may represent the future of a good portion of the medium and long distance rail travel in the United States.
