CN 2564 is the traling unit on a trio of manned helper power descending Steelton Hill near Gary, MN after helping a westbound stack train make the steep climb out of the St. Louis River Valley. The distant trees are across the river in Wisconsin. The St. Louis River forms the Duluth-Superior harbor, flowing into Lake Superior between the two cities. This line is part of the former Missabe Interstate Branch to South Itasca, WI from Proctor, MN, now part of CN's mainline, and recently double tracked. The trail overhead in the distance is part of the Willard Munger State Trail, which uses the former NP "short line" route out of Duluth.
