Remarks & Notes
If my memory serves and it does not serve as well as it once did....I was Firing on the C&M Division a trip and we were called for C&M 261 with the 176 while D&I 61 with the EMD 462 was called to go to Savanna then on to Council Bluffs. The 53 Buick was the round house Foreman's car. You can see just ahead of the 462 yellow Milwaukee Road passenger cars in the West Yard. These passenger cars from the Hiawathas/Pioneer Ltd's Copper Country Ltd's and other trains that had been slashed since the advent of the NRPC(Amtrak)were stored wall to wall in the West Yard between the diesel house and the main line since 1971.
