The power for BNSF Railway’s train to Boron, California, sits in the railroad’s Barstow Yard on July 21, 2010. A pair of BNSF SD45-2s, 1575 and 1574, each wearing the railroad’s new image, flank a pair of GP60Ms, 161 and 141, each still in their original Santa Fe paint (albeit with BNSF reporting marks added). BNSF 1575 is ex-BNSF 6472; ex-ATSF 5822; ex-ATSF 7222; nee-ATSF 5678. (July 21, 2010) Photographed on railroad property with permission and full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
