A BNSF local operated out of Golden called the Golden switch slowly makes its way east through downtown Arvada, Colorado, on August 19, 2005. The train is passing the local landmark water tower and old flour mill. Built in 1926, the restored mill is owned by the Arvada Historical Society. Trackage in this area has changed quite a bit since this photograph, with the addition of RTD’s electric G line commuter railroad through the scene parallel to the BNSF’s line.
