Burlington Northern Santa Fe EMD SD40-2 No. 6351 leads a northbound freight over the former Santa Fe’s Raton Pass main line just outside Trinidad on February 27, 1999. This new bypass was constructed around 1990 to avoid a sharp horseshoe curve and awkward crossing of the Santa Fe in Trinidad.
