| The only trains you can really count on seeing in daylight on the Union Pacific Glenwood Springs Sub are the twice a day Amtrak’s, #’s 5 and 6. Because of this I decided to go east on the road that follows the railroad along the Colorado River from Dotsero to Bond. I was hoping to maybe catch the meet between #5 and #6. My luck was only fair as I found Amtrak #5 sitting in the siding at Range with #6 receding in the distance after their meet. I missed the meet by maybe 3 minutes! I stopped my car and got my camera ready just in time to catch #5 pulling west out of the siding. |
