Remarks & Notes
In mid-February 2020, the Hoosac Tunnel partially collapsed on Pan Am Railways. Genral freight trains are being re-routed on the Vermont Railway, and intermodal on the CSX Boston Line. This means it's the beginning of an era until the tunnel is repaired: combined VRS and PAR power and more trains on the VRS. This is train 11R, a Norfolk Southern train, that starts on Pan Am Railways in East Deerfield, MA then to Mechanicville, NY and then onto NS to Binghamton, NY. VTR 307 (ex-SSW GP40-2) is leading the train with MEC 5976, 5948, and 5966 (ex-CSXT B40-8s) through the Green Mountains of Vermont in Mt. Tabor on the Bennington Branch.
