Amtrak’s westbound California Zephyr arrives at the ornate Glenwood Springs station on July 6, 1987. Sitting along the Colorado River, the Romanesque Revival-style depot was originally built by Rio Grande in 1904 using brick and Frying Pan River red sandstone.
