Remarks & Notes
Burlington Northern GP9 1818 resting in the Old Town Yard in Superior's East End. Built as Great Northern 666 in March 1954, this was one of the few geeps assigned to the Mesabi Division while working for GN. In March 1970 it became BN 1818 and spent a lot of time in Superior on the BN. This geep was rebuilt as a GP9B and used as Hump power at Northtown and eventually sent to Nebraska as the Havelock shop switcher with a makeshift cab on one side.
