| Orange and black abounds in the joint KCS/SOO Knoche Yard in Kansas City, MO on June 28, 1986 as Rio Grande Tunnel Motor no. 5356 lines up with a trio of MILW GP40s now under Soo Line ownership. The DRGW unit is here no doubt due to access the Rio Grande gained to Kansas City via the former MP from Pueblo, CO resulting from the UP-MP merger in 1982. This gave the MILW/later Soo a new connection to Chicago. |
