| NS 1020 comes to a stop at the East end of the former Conrail yard in Kankakee, IL next to the Conrail G Head. This train is an ethanol train bound for Hennepin down the line. The Kankakee Line is not what it once used to be. Both daily manifests have been annulled, and there is only the occasional grain & ethanol trains, and the locals out of the NS Kankakee Yard. Seeing a train moving around anymore is a treat in itself let alone in nice shooting conditions like this one here. |
